P7320 Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE

Samsung has recently let us all down (or has it?) by announcing that it won’t unveil the Galaxy S III smartphone at the MWC, but that doesn’t mean the Koreans don’t have a couple of aces up their sleeves for Barcelona.
One of these should interest all our European readers, as it might just be one of the most interesting LTE-enabled tablets to be made available across the Ocean. The GT-P7320, or as we all know it the Galaxy Tab 8.9, is not an entirely new product, having hit the US and European market last fall.
However, the LTE version of the slate will be made available for Europeans only this year, after being approved by the Global Certification Forum, which has already happened. The model will support quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, but also dualband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 900/2100 MHz and dualband LTE at 800 MHz/2.6 GHz.
In short, this Galaxy Tab 8.9 will come with the works in terms of connectivity, but unfortunately we still have no idea where it will be made available, as there are still many countries in the EU that don’t support 4G speeds or that do support them, but on just a very limited number of devices.
We also don’t know whether this European-special tablet will come with the same features as in the US, with some extra treats or on the contrary with a couple of lacks, but for the time being let’s be optimistic and hope that Samsung has a nice surprise in store for all of you.
Stay tuned on for more details about this mysterious LTE-enabled tablet, details that should unravel in just a couple of weeks at the 2012 MWC in Barcelona, Spain.
